Host Tyler Florence kicks off Season 9 with a new fleet of food truck hopefuls on The Great Food Truck Race. It premieres at 8 p.m. Thursday on Food Network.
This year's race takes a culinary road battle across the Southwest with seven teams competing to win a $50,000 grand prize. The trip hits hot spots including Las Vegas; Yuma, Ariz.; and Coachella Valley in Southern California to test the competitors' cooking chops, sales skills and business savvy. Each week the teams hit a new city for food challenges and the least successful truck heads home until one team is left standing.
This season's competitors are:
Buns N' Thighs from Chicago; Chops' Shop from Pearland, Texas; Heroes on a Half Shell from Frederick, Md.; Just Wing It from New York; Mobile Moo Shu from Detroit; New England Grill from Newport, R.I.; and Sassy Soul from Silver Spring, Md.
