Nate Solder, New York Giants offensive tackle and cancer survivor, headlined the Tackle Cancer Tailgate on June 15 at the Northwest Arkansas Convention Center in Springdale. Solder shared with guests at the Cancer Challenge benefit the story of his cancer recovery in 2014 and the discovery of tumors in his son Hudson's kidneys in 2015. At nearly 3 years old, Hudson is still receiving treatment and doing well.

The Cancer Challenge marked 25 years of "advocating and supporting world-class cancer care in Northwest Arkansas." The annual multi-event benefit, including trap shooting, tennis and golf, has helped the nonprofit organization invest "more than $12.2 million and provided cancer services to more than 425,000 people in need -- right here in our community," according to Jill Turner-Mitchael, Cancer Challenge board chairwoman.
