Arkansas man dies in single-car wreck, state police say

A Harrison man was killed early Saturday when the vehicle he was driving left a road and overturned several times, ejecting him, the Arkansas State Police said.

The single-vehicle crash happened around 3:30 a.m. on Arkansas 7, about 2 miles north of Arkansas 281 in Harrison, according to a preliminary report.

Rodney Wayne Poor, 32, crossed the highway's centerline while northbound in a 2004 Dodge, at which point the vehicle traveled off the road, struck a culvert and "overturned several times," state police said.

Poor was ejected and died of injuries in the crash, according to the report. No one else was reported hurt.
