A search of Arkansas storage unit yielded 16 pounds of marijuana, police say.
The Fayetteville Police Department said Emmitt Cosen had been under surveillance after he sold marijuana to a confidential informant working with the Fourth Judicial District Drug Task Force over the span of a few months.
During the investigation, detectives from the drug task force unit conducted surveillance of a Fayetteville home in the 1700 block of North Sang Avenue, according to a police report. On Monday, Cosen was reportedly seen leaving the residence and was taken into custody.
Authorities said they found about 13 grams of marijuana edibles, a pistol and digital scales at the home. An address discovered on a piece of paper at the residence led police to a storage unit Cosen had rented, the report states. Inside the unit was about 16 pounds of marijuana, according to police.
Cosen faces two counts of delivery of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with purpose to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a firearm by certain persons.
He was later released from jail after posting a $5,000 bond and is set to appear in court March 30.
