A new bar and lounge hopes to open in Little Rock's Hillcrest neighborhood next week, the owner said Friday.
Proof Bar + Lounge will be located at 2611 Kavanaugh Blvd. in the space previously occupied by Next Bistro and Bar, according to the new business's Facebook page.
The owner is Gene Lee, who worked for The Pantry owner Tomas Bohm for eight years, he told Arkansas Online in a Facebook message.
The page states Proof will offer "plenty of beer, cocktails, wine and a little food to keep everyone happy."
The business is waiting on a state Department of Health inspection before it opens its doors to the public, Lee said Friday.
