Bella Vista Community Church, 75 E. Lancashire Blvd., launches a contemporary worship service at 11 a.m. today, with Cody Ragland preaching. The church also offers a traditional worship service at 9:30 a.m. each Sunday.

First United Methodist Church in Bella Vista, 20 Boyce Drive, sponsors an Easter egg hunt at 3:30 p.m. Sunday. The church also sponsors a community Easter sunrise service at 7 a.m. April 1 at the Metfield Clubhouse.

St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Rogers, 840 W. Oak St., marks Holy Week with worship services for Palm Sunday at 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. Sunday, including a palm processional a dramatic reading of the Passion and communion; a Maundy Thursday service at 6 p.m. Thursday, with foot washing, stripping of the altar and communion; Good Friday services at noon and 6 p.m. Friday with the veneration of the cross, dramatic reading of the Passion and communion from the Reserve Sacrament; festal services of communion for Easter at 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. April 1. Highland Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Bella Vista, 1500 Forest Hills Blvd., plans several services for the Easter season. Palm Sunday, worship service at 10:30 a.m. Sunday; Maundy Thursday, worship service at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, followed by a 24-hour prayer vigil; Easter, early worship service, at 8:30 a.m. April 1, followed by breakfast, at Forest Hills Church; Easter, worship service, 10:30 a.m. April 1 at Highland.

The church hosts James Garrett and "Tribute to John Denver" at 2 p.m. April 22, benefiting the Village House adult day program and the Bella Vista Public Library.

Bella Vista Lutheran Church, 1990 Forest Hills Blvd., marks Palm Sunday with just one service, at 9:30 a.m. Sunday. A Maundy Thursday service at 6 p.m. Thursday includes communion. A Good Friday Tenebrae, a service of darkness, is planned for 6 p.m. Friday. Two worship services are planned for Easter Sunday, a traditional service at 8:30 a.m. April 1 and a blended service at 10:45 a.m. April 1.

The church offers an Easter egg hunt at 4 p.m. March 31.

The United Lutheran Church of Bella Vista, 100 Cooper Road, serves a Seder meal at 6 p.m. Thursday. Tickets are $1 per person or a canned good for the church food pantry. A Maundy Thursday service is planned for 7:30 p.m. Thursday, and a Good Friday service at 7 p.m. Friday. The church holds Easter services at 8:15 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. April 1. An Easter egg hunt and breakfast begins at 9:30 a.m. April 1.

The church choir presents its Easter cantata, The Alleluia Tree, during the 9:30 a.m. worship service April 8.

Unitarian Universalists of Benton County, 1400 W. Walnut, No. 113, Bentonville, presents Keith Foster, public information officer of the Rogers Police Department, speaking on how to avoid and defend against an active shooter situation at 11 a.m. Sunday. A slow-cooker pot-luck meal follows the talk.

Grace Point Church in Bentonville, 1201 McCollum Dr., presents "Mindscapes and Monuments: Revelation and the Gospel," a solo art show by Dick Davison, an architecture professor at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. The works will be hung in the church's Story: the Gallery from April 22 to June 10. His works have been compared to the style of Renaissance architect Andrea Palladio and 18th-century Italian artist Giovanni Piranesi with contemporary perspectives of filmmaker Tim Burton and Swiss surrealist H.R. Giger. The exhibit is free.

Mercy Hospital Northwest Arkansas in Rogers, 2710 S. Rife Medical Lane, presents the Heritage Edition of the St. John's Bible on display through May 31 in the hospital lobby. Visitors may view the Bible from 6:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. each weekday. At 11:45 a.m. each Wednesday, a page of the Bible will be turned and a reflection offered. A public blessing is planned for 10 a.m. April 5.

Four Catholic health ministries collaborated to bring the Year of the St. John's Bible to Arkansas in recognition of the 175th anniversary of the founding of the Diocese of Little Rock. The St. John's Bible was commissioned in 1998 by Benedictine monks of St. John's Abbey and the University of Collegeville in Minnesota. The Bible is written on vellum, using quills, natural hand-made inks, hand-ground pigments and gilding. The art piece includes 1,165 pages and 165 illuminations.

Mount Sequoyah Assembly in Fayetteville, 150 N. Skyline Drive, offers the annual Easter sunrise service at 6:30 a.m. April 1 at Vesper Point. The Rev. Clint Schnekloth, pastor of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Fayetteville, will deliver the sermon. Amanda Stokes and Amy Coonfield will provide music.

Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Northwest Arkansas in Fayetteville, 2901 E. St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Fayetteville, 224 N. East Ave., celebrates Palm Sunday with a processional up North College Avenue and down West Dickson Street, entering the church from East, beginning at 8:30 a.m. Sunday.

The church presents its choir in a performance of the Messiah, part two, by George Friderich Handel, during a Palm Sunday Evensong at 5:30 p.m. today. Jack Cleghorn, organist and choirmaster, will conduct, with Ann Rye and Linda Kelly on organ.

The church presents "Meditation and Teaching with Anam Thubten," a Tibeten Buddhist teacher, at 7 p.m. April 5.

First Presbyterian Church in Springdale, 100 S. Gutensohn Road, begins Holy Week with a procession of palms at the 10:15 a.m. service Sunday. A Maundy Thursday and Good Friday communion service begins at 7 p.m. Thursday. Easter worship, with a flowering of the cross, begins at 10:30 a.m. April 1.

The church also plans an Easter egg hunt for children at 10 a.m. March 31, and an Easter potluck breakfast at 9:30 a.m. April 1.

Genesis Church in Fayetteville, 205 Martin Luther King Blvd., a campus of Central United Methodist Church in Fayetteville, offers Holy Week services at 12:05 p.m. Monday to Friday. Lunch follows at 12:35 p.m. Various pastors from Central will speak during the services.

The church offers Easter services at 9 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. April 1.

Central United Methodist Church in Fayetteville, 6 W. Dickson St., presents its chancel choir and orchestra performing Theodore Dubois' Seven Last Words of Christ for Maundy Thursday at 7 p.m. Thursday.

The church hosts the M&N Augustine Foundation's 24th annual "Trent Trumbo Memorial Easter Feed" on March 31. Volunteers are needed for many roles, including preparing Easter baskets, baking, serving, delivering and cleaning up.

Easter services include: Classic worship, 8:15 a.m., 9:30 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. April 1 in the church sanctuary; contemporary worship, 9:30 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. April 1 in the Great Hall; Genesis worship, 9 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. April 1 at the Genesis campus.
