It's very clear who's at fault for this summit being called off, namely the Trump administration. Never thought it was going to happen because Trump is an amateur at diplomatic relations. Pence's statement to attempt to remain relevant was very problematic for Kim and prior statements from Bolton showed North Korea that it would be dangerous to trust Trump with statements like that coming from within his administration.
...
Let's face it. Trump isn't the most truthful world leader and likes to brag a lot. North Korea's statements about meeting in a nuclear head-to-head are no different than what Trump has said in the past. I know the Trumpsters will try to spin this as Trump being the "strong world leader," when in fact he was Trumped by his lack of a true diplomatic mission. I'm sure Pompeo is now realizing how chaotic the administration is and how easily his efforts can be undermined by another power grabber on the team.

What a childish thing to do. This administration has an opportunity to do good for the world and pulls this mess. We must, shall, get adults in the White House. Sigh. Hang in there . We will correct this chapter of utter incompetence of world history.

RBear and WGT

I'm with you two about Trump. I voted for him because of his promise of stopping the U S intrusion into other countries. But his choices for his Administration are simply awful and he seems bent on becoming the World's policeman.
I urge our citizens to look at his belligerent attitude and realize the possibility of causing Nuclear weapons to fall on our cities because of his stupid behavior. He has become the leader of the swamp instead of cleaning it out. Look at Gas prices due to his arrogance and dumb moves. It is evident he is trying to start a war against Russia and China who have the ability to make the people of America realize America first should not be gained through Military means.

Trump has the ability and the lack of sense to ignite WWIII by his punitive actions against other countries. Trump has proven to be really dangerous to the future of the United States.
I ask forgiveness for ever voting for him. I won't make that same error in the next Presidential election.
Democrats please get off that Russian Interference theme and start letting America know why we need a change.
People who say North Korea never keep their word should do a little research about who brought about the failure of the 1994 agreement with North Korea and think about how a brash President has changed our treaties and promises in the past.
And the Trump idea of Sanctions as a weapon to suppress other countries economies can and will come back to hurt our citizens.

President Trump is the strong leader this country needed after the Obamanation. NOKO is already begging to come back.
And I find it not in the least surprising that you "progs" find delight in this situation.
RB, if I was as ill- informed about current events as you are, I would NEVER post anything on this forum.
But I do thank you for exposing today's left for the imbeciles they are.

mo2, you are always the least informed of all who post on this forum. It would be wonderful if you will take your own advice and cease posting.

Trump pulled out of a meeting with Kim Jong UN.......and out of habit paid North Korea $130,000.
*
Trump may not have gotten a Nobel Peace Prize, but Kim Jong Un got a USA minted coin recognizing him as "Supreme Leader".

mozzy, you must never confuse the fact that just because you are competent working with your hands, it doesn't mean that your mind works in other areas.

When President Trump declared his willingness to negotiate with the Norks, Chuck Schumer and other leading liberals attacked him for "legitimating a brutal dictator." When he backed out of the talk, the same liberals attacked him for ruining any chance of a diplomatic solution with NOKO.
What this means is that they don't really care about what is done on this issue or any other, but who's doing it. Their algorithm is very simple: if Trump's doing it, attack. If one of their own do the same thing, praise.
At least President Trump has given you a reason to virtue signal your concern over brutal dictators, a concern no "prog" has had EVER!
It's the Art of the Deal writ large, "progs"! Get over it!

Moz trust me, you daily prove how out of touch you are. You live so deeply in an alt right bubble that you really are out of touch with reality. You can chastise me all you want, but I rarely drop into those alt left or alt right bubbles.
...
Kim is showing HOW to be a statesman and isn’t begging to come back to the table. Only a Trumpster would think that because Trumpsters are so far out of touch with the real world. Up is down and right is left.
