Upscale vintage market moving from Bryant to west Little Rock

Painted Tree Marketplace is moving its original central Arkansas location from Bryant to west Little Rock, an employee said.

Caylie Barnett, head of marketing and media for Painted Tree, said the company is aiming to move into 15400 Chenal Parkway by January 2019.

The store is leaving its current location at 24351 Interstate 30 because the state Department of Transportation added a new interstate exit, which closed off an entry point to the shop and made it harder for customers to get there, Barnett said.

The Bryant store, which opened in March 2015, was followed by locations in Sherwood; North Richland Hills, Texas and Highland Village, Texas, according to Barnett. A Memphis storefront is also set to open in January 2019.

Barnett said the new store on Chenal will be “a great addition to the area” and “a good thing for Painted Tree.” The shop will move into an existing building, which will be redone for the upscale vintage market.

Barnett called the business “a creative community of shops” that hosts hundreds of vendors who sell “home decor, fashion and more.”

Similar to an antique store or flea market, local vendors rent out booths in the shop, which they decorate to their taste, she said.
