Police said an Arkansas man accused of raping a 12-year-old girl was arrested Friday.
Billy Wayne Moore Jr., 32, was charged Monday with rape, court records show. The Jonesboro resident's bail was set at $200,000.
According to a probable cause affidavit, a relative of the girl arrived home late Thursday and found a naked Moore on top of the 12-year-old. The relative told police she was able to get the girl out of the house, but when she came back inside to confront Moore, he threw on some clothes and fled.
Court documents state that the girl told her relative that Moore “made her have sex with him.”
Moore remained at the Craighead County jail Monday evening, records show.
