The following is the best and worst playoff situation for each Northwest Arkansas football team with two games remaining in the regular season.
7A-WEST CONFERENCE
Bentonville West Wolverines (5-3, 5-0)
Best situation -- West wins out and becomes outright 7A-West champs, earns No. 1 seed and a first-round bye
Worst situation -- West loses both games and falls to the No. 2 seed, but would still have a first-round bye
Bentonville Tigers (5-3, 5-0)
Best situation -- Bentonville wins out and becomes outright 7A-West champs, earns No. 1 seed and a first-round bye
Worst situation -- Bentonville falls to the No. 3 seed with two losses, two Springdale wins and a Fayetteville loss
Fayetteville Bulldogs (6-2, 3-2)
Best situation -- Fayetteville earns the outright No. 3 seed with two wins
Worst situation -- Fayetteville falls to the No. 6 seed with two losses if Springdale wins one game while Har-Ber and Van Buren win out.
Springdale Bulldogs (6-2, 3-2)
Best situation -- Springdale finishes as the No. 2 seed and a first-round bye with two wins, two Bentonville losses and a Fayetteville loss.
Worst situation -- Springdale falls to the No. 6 seed with two losses AND both Har-Ber and Van Buren win out.
Springdale Har-Ber Wildcats (4-4, 2-3)
Best situation -- Har-Ber climbs to the No. 3 spot with two wins and two Springdale losses.
Worst situation -- Har-Ber is eliminated with two losses, two Rogers victories and a Van Buren win.
Van Buren Pointers (3-5, 2-3)
Best situation -- Van Buren is the No. 3 seed with two wins, two Fayetteville losses, two Springdale losses and a Har-Ber loss to Rogers this week.
Worst situation -- Van Buren is eliminated with two losses if Rogers wins its two games and earns 24 or more tiebreaker points and Har-Ber loses both of its games.
Rogers Mounties (1-6, 0-5)
Best situation -- Rogers is the No. 5 seed with two wins, two Har-Ber losses and Van Buren losses IF the Mounties can earn at least 24 tie-breaker points.
Worst situation -- Rogers is eliminated with at least one more loss.
Rogers Heritage War Eagles (0-8, 0-5)
Already eliminated from postseason play.
7A-CENTRAL CONFERENCE
Fort Smith Northside Grizzlies (5-3, 2-3), Fort Smith Southside Mavericks (3-5, 2-3)
Best situation -- The team that wins both of its games will claim the No. 4 seed.
Worst situation -- The team that loses both of its games could be eliminated if two of the following three teams -- LR Catholic, Cabot or LR Central -- win out.
6A-WEST CONFERENCE
Greenwood Bulldogs (7-1, 5-0)
Best situation -- Greenwood clinches the No. 1 seed and a first-round bye with one win in its last two games.
Worst situation -- Greenwood falls to the No. 2 seed with two losses and two Benton wins, but still gets a first-round bye.
Siloam Springs Panthers (4-4, 2-3)
Best situation -- Siloam Springs is the No. 3 seed with two wins if the Panthers can get the full 13 tiebreaker points in both games and Russellville beats El Dorado by 3 or more points.
Worst situation -- Siloam Springs is eliminated with two losses, a Lake Hamilton win and two Sheridan wins.
5A-WEST CONFERENCE
Harrison Goblins (8-0, 6-0)
Best situation -- Harrison earns the No. 1 seed with one more win in its last two games.
Worst situation -- Harrison falls to the No. 3 seed with two losses and two Alma wins.
Alma Airedales (4-4, 4-1)
Best situation -- Alma earns the No. 1 seed with two wins and two Harrison losses.
Worst situation -- Alma falls to the No. 4 seed with two losses and two Morrilton wins.
Farmington Cardinals (4-4, 2-3)
Best situation -- Farmington earns the No. 3 seed with two wins and two Greenbrier losses.
Worst situation -- Farmington is eliminated with a loss to Morrilton.
Clarksville Panthers (2-6, 1-4), Huntsville Eagles (2-6, 0-5)
Both teams are eliminated from postseason contention
4A-1 CONFERENCE
Shiloh Christian Saints (7-1, 5-0), Pea Ridge Blackhawks (6-2, 5-0)
Best situation -- The team that wins both of its games will win the conference and earn the No. 1 playoff seed
Worst situation -- Either team could lose its last two games and still have the No. 2 playoff seed.
Lincoln Wolves (6-2, 3-2), Prairie Grove Tigers (4-4, 3-2)
Best situation -- The team that wins both of its games earns the league's No. 3 seed.
Worst situation -- Lincoln falls to the No. 5 seed with two losses and two Gentry wins. Prairie Grove could be eliminated with two losses, two Gentry wins and two Berryville wins.
Gentry Pioneers (2-6, 2-3)
Best situation -- Gentry is the No. 3 seed with two wins and two Prairie Grove losses.
Worst situation -- Gentry is eliminated with two losses if Berryville or Gravette win out.
Berryville Bobcats (3-5, 1-4)
Best situation -- Berryville earns a No. 4 seed with two wins and two Prairie Grove losses.
Worst situation -- Berryville is eliminated with a loss Friday to Prairie Grove.
Gravette Lions (1-7, 1-4)
Best situation -- Gravette earns a No. 5 seed with two wins and a Berryville loss.
Worst situation -- Gravette is eliminated with a loss to Shiloh Christian and a Gentry win over Lincoln.
