AUTOMOTIVE

Fletcher Lord III has been appointed as president of Little Rock-based auto replacement parts company Crow-Burlingame. The private company has 177 stores and three warehouses serving seven states across the South. Lord has served as vice president since 2012.

BANKING

William Whitmore has been hired by the Arkansas State Bank Department as a senior examiner. Whitmore previously served as a senior examiner at the Bank Department.

Abby Baldridge of Mountain View has joined Stone Bank in Mountain View as the branch manager and Kendall Stubbs, also of Mountain View, has joined the bank as a loan officer. Stone Bank has offices in Mountain View, Cave City, Harrison, White Hall and Little Rock.

HIGHER EDUCATION

Dr. Ronald Robertson has been appointed chairman of the Department of Surgery in the College of Medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Robertson will assume the role in May upon the retirement of Dr. Frederick "Rick" Bentley, who has served as chair of the Department of Surgery since 2015.

Dr. Alan Utter is the next provost and executive vice chancellor for academic affairs at Arkansas State University.

Dr. Omar T. Atiq, a professor of medicine and otolaryngology-head and neck surgery at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, has been named chairman of the Board of Governors of the American College of Physicians, the national organization of internists.
