Shawn Draper, an aviation technician, and Garrett Stice, a certified flight instructor, have joined the staff at Ozarka College.
BANKING
Simmons Bank has named Alejandro Carriles executive vice president and chief digital officer. Carriles brings more than 25 years of experience to his role at Simmons, having overseen technology projects for international and domestic financial institutions, private sector corporations and government agencies.
EDUCATION
Amy Whitehead will serve as chief of staff at the University of Central Arkansas effective August 12, President Houston Davis said. Whitehead is currently assistant vice president for Community and Workforce Development in UCA's Division of Outreach and Community Engagement.
Erika Campbell is the new Director of Admissions and Student Engagement at Ozarka College.
Cliff Jones has been named deputy director of the Arkansas State University Delta Center for Economic Development.
Marika Kyriakos was named director of Fowler Center and promoted to interim assistant dean for the College of Liberal Arts and Communications at Arkansas State University.
University of Central Arkansas President Houston Davis has been named chair of the Southland Conference Board of Directors. Davis will be leading the Southland Conference Board of Directors as the group's chair for the next two academic years, according to Southland Commissioner Tom Burnett.
FINANCIAL
Shannon Koder has been promoted to lending services manager at the AgHeritage Farm Credit Services Central Office in Little Rock. Koder joined AgHeritage in December of 2015 as a Loan Processor.
MEDICAL SCIENCES
Psychiatrist Hannah Williams, M.D., has joined the Women's Mental Health Clinic in the Psychiatric Research Institute at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Williams is an assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry in the UAMS College of Medicine.
RETAIL
Bill Jones, chief executive officer of Sissy's Log Cabin, has won the Excellence of Service Award from the Jeweler's 24 Karat Club of Southern California. Jones began working with his mother, Sissy Jones, in 1984.
John Godwin is the newest addition to the SeaArk Boats Pro Staff Team.
ROTARY INTERNATIONAL
Stephanie Shine was installed as the charter president of the newly formed Rotary Club of Little Rock Afterhours at the Club's Charter Banquet. Other officers installed were Matt Buie, president elect; Sarah Bennings, president nominee; Christy Leonhardt, secretary; and Eric Walker, Treasurer.
