Computers

The Bella Vista Computer Club will meet at 7 p.m. May 13 in Room 1001 in the Highlands Crossing Center, 1801 Forest Hills Blvd. in Bella Vista. The presentation "Safe Disposal of Computers and Mobile Devices" will be given by Joel Ewing. The meetings are free and open to the public. Different handouts giving general information and computer tips are available at each monthly meeting.

Currently scheduled classes for May include "Computer Security for Regular People: Part 2," presented by Justin Sell, owner of Bella Vista Computer Services, 6:30 to 8 p.m. May 21, and "Introduction to GIMP" (a free Image Manipulation Program), 9 a.m. to noon May 23. June classes include "Computer Security for Regular People, Part 1," presented by Sell, 6:30 to 8 p.m. June 18.

Open House Help Clinic sessions are a free service for club members. They are held from 9 a.m. to noon on the first Saturday and the third Wednesday of each month in BVCC's Training Center at The Highlands Crossings Center, Suite 208. Help Clinics for are from 9 a.m. to noon May 15 and June 1.

BVCC also has a Genealogy Special Interest Group that will meet at 10 a.m. May 18.

Post 0341

Bella Vista American Legion Post 0341 will meet at 6:30 p.m. May 13 at the Post located at 1889 Bella Vista Way in Bella Vista. The May meeting is important to all members since new Post Officers will be elected.

The Ozark Mountains Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution will meet at 11 a.m. May 16 at Simmons Bank, 33075 W. New Hope Road in Rogers. Laura Sawyer will present the program "Crazy Horse."

SUV

The Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War will meet at 7 p.m. May 16 at Western Sizzlin', 5720 Rogers Ave. in Fort Smith. Dinner will be at 6 p.m.

The Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War is an fraternal organization that is dedicated to the men who fought for the United States during the Civil War.

The meeting is open to all.

Ostomates

The Northwest Arkansas Ostomy Support group will meet from 1 to 2 p.m. May 19 for an educational meeting and a general meeting will follow at 2 p.m. at Hope Cancer Resources, 5835 W. Sunset Ave. in Springdale. The subject will be hydration.

Art & Nature

Art & Nature is a new experiential activity series for cancer survivors and caregivers. The initial group event will be a low-impact guided hike at Devil's Den State Park from 9 a.m. to noon May 31. Lunch will be provided. Registration is required.

Family Fun Day

Hope Cancer Resources and Camp Kesem are hosting a Family Fun Day for adult cancer survivors and their children from 3 to 7 p.m. June 8 at a South Fayetteville farm. Activities will include crafts, fishing, hiking, yard games and more. Registration is required as there is limited space available. There is no cost to attend.

Quilters

A quilting group meets from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Tuesday at historic Son's Chapel, 5480 E. Mission Blvd. in Fayetteville, to create handmade treasures to sell to support the building. New or experienced quilters and embroiderers are welcome.
