Bridges over the Arkansas River in Little Rock were lighted blue Sept. 27 for Teal Light Night, the annual fundraiser for the Arkansas Ovarian Cancer Coalition.
Inside the Statehouse Convention Center's Wally Allen Ballroom, walls glowed teal with specialty lighting and many of the guests wore the coalition's signature color. The evening included a buffet dinner, silent auction, photo booth, a raffle and wine pull. There was also a "Lights of Love" luminary display in honor of loved ones. Honored during a program were Dr. Jia Liu as a community champion, member of the year was Simone Brock; Hayley Scott received the Taryn's Fight Like a Girl Scholarship.
Funds raised will be used to raise awareness and increase education about ovarian cancer in the state.
