Democrats

The Democratic Party of Benton County will meet at 6 p.m. March 9 at Mimi's Cafe, 2105 S. Promenade Blvd. in Rogers. The business meeting starts at 6:30 p.m.

Computers

The Bella Vista Computer Club will hold a general meeting at 7 p.m. March 9 in Room 1001 on the lower level of the Highlands Crossing Center, 1801 Forest Hills Blvd. in Bella Vista. The program will be "Understanding Email," presented by Joel Ewing. The presentation will seek to give some insight into how email works and its limitations plus the variety of choices for sending and reading email.

The next scheduled classes will be "Using Windows 10," with Joel Ewing, from 9 a.m. to noon March 14; and "Computer Security for Regular People: Part 1," presented by Justin Sell, owner of Bella Vista Computer Services, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. March 18.

There will be a genealogy special interest group meeting at 10 a.m. March 21.

Open house help clinic sessions are held from 9 a.m. to noon on the first Saturday and the third Wednesday of each month in the club's training center, Suite 208, and are a free service for club members.

Ko-ko-ci

The Ko-ko-ci Chapter of the Arkansas Archeological Society will meet at 7 p.m. March 11 at the Washington County Extension Services building, 2536 N. McConnell Ave. in Fayetteville.

Guest speaker will be Kayden Dennis, graduate student at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. He will present "Stone Tools in 3D: In Search of Cultural Transmission."

VFW 2952

VFW Springdale/Fayetteville Post 2952 will gather for a meal at 6 p.m. March 11 at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 2898 S. 48th St. in Springdale. A meeting will follow at 7 p.m. All combat veterans and families are welcome.

The Ozark Mountains Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will meet at 11 a.m. March 12.

Embroiderers

The Embroidery Guild meets monthly in both Bella Vista and Springdale. No stitching experience is necessary. Anyone interested in needlework is welcome.

Bella Vista meetings are at 9:30 a.m. on the second Thursday of each month at St. Theodore Church, 1001 Kingsland Road. Springdale meetings are at 10 a.m. on the third Saturday of each month at the John Powell Senior Center, 610 E. Grove Ave.

The March educational program will review how to use a variety of fibers and stitches to enhance your needlework.

Hill 'n Dale

The Hill 'n Dale Hiking Club will be hiking the Chinquapin Trail at Big Sugar Creek State Park on March 12.

Hikes on March 18 will be in the area east of Mountainburg. The first hike will be a 3-mile out and back hike at Fern Gully. Partipants will then move to Devils Canyon after lunch for a 3-mile loop hike.

Traveling Sams

The Bella Vista Traveling Sams RV group will meet at 1 p.m. March 12 at the Bella Vista American Legion. Members of the Jolly Rogers Group will also be in attendance.

Future outings for the Bella Vista Traveling Sams include the state rally in Texarkana, April 16-19; camping trip to Cloud Nine RV Park in Hot Springs, May 17-21; and a camping trip to Lake Dardanelle State Park, June 22-25.

Artists

The Ozark Creative Artists will meet at 9 a.m. March 14 at Riordan Hall, 3 Riordan Drive in Bella Vista. Member Linda Bulman will teach a class on "A Watercolor Painting of Indian Corn."

The purpose of the organization is to stimulate interest and appreciation in painting, as well as learning the art of painting with various mediums. The OCA offers many service projects, such as painting memory boxes for hospitals. Painters of all skill levels make up the organization.
