Narvell Rice

Narvell Rice, age 89, of Little Rock, Arkansas, left this world peacefully on Tuesday, August 10, 2010. She was born August 15, 1920, in Atkins, Arkansas, to the late Elmer and Elva Bewley. She was a member of East End Assembly of God Church. Narvell loved and was loved by her husband, brothers, sisters, children, grandchildren and many friends and will be deeply missed. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Carolyn Rice; brothers, Buck, Dewey and Walter Bewley; and sister, Elma Ramsey. Survivors include her loving husband of 71 years, Woodrow Rice; children, Learl Rice and wife Sandra, Linda Sue Brown and husband Keith, Mark Rice and wife Barbara, and Paul Rice; siblings, John Bewley, Wanda Mills, Louise Brittian, and Jean Hyde; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Friday, August 13, 2010, at Griffin Leggett Forest Hills Funeral Home, 10200 Hwy. 5 North, Alexander (501-455-1067). Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 14, 2010, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park.
