Brenda Lenel Witherspoon

Brenda Lenel Witherspoon, age 62, of Hazen died Thursday, Auugust 12, 2010. Brenda was a very loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She always put everyone's wants and needs ahead of her own. Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Mace and Ruby Neil; step-father, Jack Carpenter and her son, Christopher Rogers. She is survived by her husband, John Witherspoon; daughter, Tammy VanHouten and husband, Rodney of Hazen; step-children, Shelly Cheatman and Jonathan Witherspoon both of Kentucky; two brothers, Charles Neil of Hazen and Jackie Carpenter of Alexander, Arkansas and grandchildren, Shane Rogers, Cameron Rogers, Lexis VanHouten, Brayden VanHouten, Brock Cheatman, Savannah Cheatman, and Katlyn Witherspoon. Visitation will be Sunday, August 15, 2010 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Westbrook Funeral Home in Hazen. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Monday, August 16, 2010 at Morris Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Hazen, by Bro. Greg Tennison.
