James Howard Higgason, 63, of Maumelle, Arkansas, passed away on August 10, 2010. He was born in Oxford, Mississippi, on November 16, 1946, the son of Clyde R. Higgason and the late Theda F. Higgason. Jim graduated from the University of Mississippi in 1969 with a degree in engineering. He retired in 2001 as project coordinator from Exxon-Mobil. His work took him to many fascinating parts of the world, Nigeria, Scotland, Dubai, and Indonesia. He enjoyed many new experiences there with his family. He was a member of the British Car Club and valued the friendships he made there. He was a member of Shepherd of Peace Lutheran Church. He adored his family and his greatest joy was time spent with them. He is survived by his son, Michael Higgason; his grandchildren, Ian and Calli Rocha; his father, Clyde R. Higgason; and sisters, Brenda Jones and Martha Perme. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Eileen, and daughter, Jeanne. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon, on Saturday, August 14, 2010, at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home Chapel, (501) 224-8300, with Reverend Paul Mayerhoff officiating.
