Doris Lucille Lowe, 95 of Jacksonville, died Sunday, August 22, 2010. She was born October 1, 1914 at Cotton Plant, Arkansas to the late Olion and Pattie Tarpley Crafford. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis F. Lowe in 1987. Mrs. Lowe was an active member of First United Methodist Church in Jacksonville where she was involved with United Methodist Women and Church Women United. She also volunteered at several hospitals, and was a member of United Daughters of Confederacy in Little Rock. Survivors include her son, Robert (Mary) Lowe of Jacksonville; grandchildren, William (Jerri) Lowe of Jacksonville, and David Lowe of Oklahoma, a sister, Mrs. Bess Key of Memphis, and numerous nephews, and nieces. Graveside services will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at Marianna Memorial Park in Marianna, Arkansas, with Rev. Charles Watt Officiating. Visitation will be from 6–8 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.
