Tony Griffin Sherrod

Tony Griffin Sherrod, 41, of Conway, went to be with his family and friends in Heaven on August 24, 2010, after a long, hard fight with colon cancer. He was born November 28, 1968, in Greenville, Mississippi, to the late Robert Sherrod and his mother, Laura Wyvonne Dyden of Maumelle. He was also preceded in death by his other father Kenneth Griffin. He is survived by his wife, Jennifer (Stone) Sherrod; sons, Alex and Griffin Sherrod; daughters, Mississippi of the home and Shay Sherrod of Russellville; his mother, Laura Wyvonne Dyden and husband Stan; brothers, David, Dana, Joe and Bucky Griffin, Mark Boutwell; sisters, Kristy Rauls, Misty Claussen, Ginger Brady, Shelley Rocconi and Mallory D. Dyden; along with many dear friends of a lifetime. Tony was an avid runner, bicyclist and swimmer. He participated and completed all Little Rock Marathons, numerous Tri Athlons and the Ultimate Iron Man Competition. Tony loved to spend time with his family; and loved to travel and hunt. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Friday, August 27, 2010, at the funeral home. Funeral will be 1 p.m., Saturday, at Woodland Heights Baptist Church in Conway.
