Windell Wayne Lockwood

Mr. Windell Wayne Lockwood, age 69, of Shannon Hills, departed for Heaven from St. Vincent Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas, on Wednesday, December 1, 2010. He was born May 16, 1941 to the late Hurchel and Opal Lockwood. Mr. Lockwood's childhood home was Dierks, Arkansas, where he was raised by his late aunt and uncle, Ben and Pearl Darling. He retired from St. Vincent's Health Systems in 2003, after 16 years of service. Mr. Lockwood was an avid sports fan; he enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, as well as watching Arkansas Razorback football. He was a member of Geyer Springs Church of Christ. Survivors include: his wife of 39 years, Sarah Lee (Reed) Lockwood, two children, Stephanie Lea Evans of Bryant; Stephen Wayne Lockwood of Shannon Hills, two step-children, Freddy Lemons and Tammy Chambless both of Little Rock; one brother, Jackie Lockwood of Clarksville, Arkansas; one sister, Jo Ann Blacklock of Wichita, Kansas; three half-sisters, Betty Jane Pollard and Lue Davis, both of Idabel, Oklahoma and Sue Peebles of Ore City, Texas; six grandchildren whom he dearly loved; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services are at 12 noon on December 4, 2010 at Roller-Drummond Southwest Funeral Home in Little Rock, with visitation immediately preceding the service from 10 a.m. until noon.
