Edd T. Smith

Edd T. Smith, age 90, of Crossett, Ark., passed away on December 22, 2010 at the Pinewood Health & Rehabilitation Center. He was born on July 17, 1920 in Bradley County, Ark. to his parents, Warren and Martha Barnett Smith. Mr. Smith was a Navy Veteran, having served in WWII, and a former employee of Georgia Pacific. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Vinnie Smith; a step-son, Johnny Blankinship; one brother, Bailey Smith and four sisters, Lois Johnson, Mary Anders, Erma Gorman and Cloteen Munford. Survivors include: two sons, Michael W. Smith (Connie), of Crossett, Ark., Edward L. Smith (Mary), of Miles City, Mont.; one step-son, Charles Keen of Hamburg, Ark.; two daughters, Deborah McKeegan (John) of Las Vegas, Nev., Marsha Funderburg (Rickie), of Crossett, Ark.; one step-daughter, Barbara Miller of Monticello, Ark.; thirteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, December 26, 2010 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church with Bro. Eric Hodge and Bro. Edward L. Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Pinewood Memorial Park under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett, Ark. (www.jonesservice.com).
