Earl Ray Forrest

Earl Ray Forrest, 67 of Monticello, Ark. passed away Sunday, July 18, 2010 at Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock. He was born January 19, 1943 in Monticello to the late Frank E. and Pearl Dodson Forrest. He also was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister. He was a retired firefighter for the City of Monticello. He began his career as a volunteer in 1964 serving 20 years, then later retiring as Assistant Chief in 1999. He also served as safety officer and a first responder. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Patsy Haney Forrest of Monticello; daughter, Lynn Sites of North Little Rock; son, Shannon Forrest and wife Melissa of Monticello; grandchildren, Samantha Everett of Sherwood; Michael Forrest and Jane Worrell both of Monticello; brother, Earnest Forrest of Monticello; sisters, Lucille Protack of Wilmington, Del. and Sue Cattles of Laramie, Wyo. There will be only a visitation held, Friday, July 23 from 6-8 p.m. at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home in Monticello. Online guestbook www.stephensondearman.com.
