Wallace D. Frankson

Wallace D. Frankson, USAF Major (Ret.), 77, of Cabot, Ark., (formerly of Jamestown, N.Y0.) died Thursday, July 15, 2010 at UAMS in Little Rock, Ark. He was born May 6, 1933 in Toledo, Ohio the son of the late Carl and Neva Zeigler Frankson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Duane R. Frankson. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Janice (Bradley) Frankson, formerly of Sinclairville, N.Y.; one son, Craig (Charlene) Frankson of Jacksonville, Ark.; four grandchildren, Brandy (Jason) Irwin of South Mills, N.C.; Heather Frankson of Sherwood, Ark.; Dustin (Christina) Frankson of Sherwood, Ark.; Blake Frankson of Jacksonville, Ark.; one great-granddaughter, Amber Frankson of Sherwood, Ark.; one brother, Winston Frankson of Jamestown, N.Y.; two sisters, Donna Town of Jamestown, N.Y.; Kathy (Dewey) Westerburg of Jamestown, N.Y. and Frost Proof, Fla. Mr. Frankson was a graduate of Syracuse University. He retired June 30, 1972 after a 20 year career with the United States Air Force. The last seven years he was a C-130 instructor pilot. He also completed a one year program in the field of cytology at the University of North Carolina. The funeral was held at 3 p.m., Monday in the Lind Funeral Home, Jamestown, N.Y.
