Mason William Gonzalez

Mason William Gonzalez went to be with his best friend, Jesus, on Saturday, June 12, 2010 at ACH in Little Rock, Ark. Mason, 14 years old, was born and raised in Cabot, Ark. to Michael and Judith Gonzalez. Mason completed 8th grade at Cabot Jr. High South. He had been involved in band, track and basketball prior to becoming ill with cancer. Mason enjoyed playing the guitar, passionately worshiping the Lord and beating his dad at video games. He had a heart for children and he always began his day spending time with God. Mason inspired his family, friends, and community by his love, humbleness, strength and joy. He even touched many more lives whom he never met. Mason is also survived by his brothers Michael Houser of Cabot, Matthew and Sarah Houser of Chandler, Ariz.; and grandparents William (paternal prandfather) and Betty Gonzalez of Cabot. Wallace and Joyce Allport (paternal grandmother) of Richmond, Mich., Jack (maternal grandfather) and Joan Alberts of Grandville, Mich.; Newman and Shirley Dawe (Maternal Grandmother) of Grand Rapids, Mich.; and Margaret Powell (maternal great-grandmother) of Largo, Fla. Also many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday, June 14, 2010 at Moore's Funeral Home 700 North 2nd Street, Cabot (501) 843-5816. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at Grace Fellowship - 601 West Elm St. in Cabot.
