Rosalind Lewis Granger Smith

Rosalind Lewis Granger Smith, 97, of Gould, died Sunday. She was born June 1, 1913 in Gould, Ark. to the late Oran Lee and Rosa Lea Rogers Granger. She was retired from Gould school food services and the former city recorder and treasurer, and water collection for the city of Gould. She was a member of Disciples of Christ Church at Gould. Preceding her in death was her husband Thomas Price Smith, two sons, Thomas Price Smith Jr., and T. Ronnie Smith; and one daughter, Amy Carol Smith. Survivors include son, Zif H. Smith of Little Rock, daughter, Gloria S. Wright of Monticello, 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. Services will be 11 a.m., Wednesday at the Griffin Funeral Chapel in Star City. Dr. Ron Smith, Bro. Robin Leonard, and Bro. C.C. Hodges will officiate. Visitation will be 10 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Dark Corner Cemetery. Grandsons will be pallbearers. In lieu of flowers the family asks to send Memorials to Dark Corner Cemetery Association 2103 Hwy. 83 N. Gould, Ark. 71643 or the American Cancer Society.
