Helen Earline Spence Bruss

Helen Earline Spence Bruss, 90, passed away Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. Born October 9,1920 in Middlebrook, Ark. She is preceded in death by father Earle Spence and mother and step-father, Hattie and Lloyd Shemwell; also, brother, William Spence and daughter-in-law, Nancy Bruss. She is survived by two sons; Dr. Michael and wife, Kitrin Bruss of Davis, Calif. and Robert and wife Pam Bruss of Apex,. N.C.; daughter, Evelyn Bruss-Hull of Grand Lake, Colo.; five grandchildren; Jeffrey and wife Bethany Bruss, Justin Bruss, Ike and wife Julie Hull, Gavin and wife Morgan Bruss, and Garrett Bruss; two great-grandchildren, CJ. and Courtney Hull, and sisters, Katherine McGarrity of Osceola, Ark. and Mary Nell and husband Eugene Biggs of Maynard; and several nieces, nephews and friends. Memorials may be made to the Mountain Home Christian Clinic, 421 W. Wade St., Mountain Home, Ark. 72653 or Flo & Phil Hospice House, 1148 E. Matthews St., Jonesboro, Ark. Mrs. Bruss has been cremated and a memorial service will be announced at a later date. McNabb Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
