Pauline Parnell Holcombe

Mrs. Pauline (Brown) Parnell Holcombe, 79, of Newport died Tuesday, November 23, 2010. She was born August 22, 1931 at Goodwin, Arkansas the daughter of Tom and Allie (Bridges) Brown. Mrs. Holcombe was first and foremost a mother, and a homemaker. She especially enjoyed taking care of her family and fishing. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Floyd B. Parnell, Sr.; her second husband, C.T. "Punch" Holcombe; one brother, Buddy Brown; two sisters, Ruth Hemenway and Maxine Bowen; and her parents. Mrs. Holcombe is survived by two sons, Floyd B. Parnell Jr. of Swifton, Arkansas and Larry Thomas Parnell of Newport, Arkansas; and two grandchildren, Thomas Laird Parnell and Floyd B. Parnell, III "Trey". Funeral services are 2 p.m., Friday at Jackson's Newport Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
