James Raymond "Ray" Stringfellow

James Raymond "Ray" Stringfellow, 89, of Lonoke, Arkansas, was born March 29, 1921 at Beebe, Arkansas, to Oscar and Myrtle (Bennett) Stringfellow, and he died Wednesday, September 22, 2010. He was a proud veteran of World War II. Before retiring, Ray was employed by the Veterans Administration in Little Rock. He also owned a car lot in Lonoke. He had two great loves in his life, his wife, Madeline and selling cars. He was also a wonderful daddy. He is survived by one daughter, Sue Barner and her husband, Chester of Searcy; two sons, Steve Stringfellow and his wife, Shelby of Benton and Phillip Stringfellow and his wife, Beverly of Lonoke; one sister, Opal Hilger of Judsonia; one brother, Guy Stringfellow of Springfield, Oregon; six grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, September 23, 2010, at Beebe Cemetery. www.westbrookfuneralhome.com.
