Lish Shock

Lish Shock, 81, of Conway, Ark., died Friday April 15, 2011. Mr. Shock was born in Enola, Ark., Jan. 11, 1930. He was a son of the late Noah and Olzie (Shumake) Shock. He was a Christian and long-time member of the Church of Christ in Enola. He was a graduate of Enola High School and served his country in the U. S. Army. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Grady Shock and Lewis Shock; and one sister, Loicy Beene. He was retired from L & S Concrete Company. Lish was an avid bird hunter for several years and later enjoyed playing golf and dominoes, and gardening. Lish loved life: He had a charismatic personality and had many friends. He was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Thelma Shock; two brothers, Lester Shock of Conway, and Edward Lee Shock of Enola; his sister, Ardell Phillips of Conway; his sons, Fillmore Neeley and wife Melinda, and Steven Clay Neeley, all of Morrilton; grandchildren, April and Laura Neeley; Timothy Clay and Anthony Trey Neeley; great-grandchildren, Dylan, Abagail, Kai; a number of nephews and nieces; and his loving dog, "Lady." A celebration of Lish's life will be from 6– 8 p.m., Thursday April 21, 2011 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway.
