Robert Joe "R. J." Bryant

Robert Joe "R. J." Bryant passed away Friday April 15, 2011 at UAMS Medical Center. He was born in New Edinburg to the late Clyde Victor Bryant and Allie Marie Long. Mr. Bryant is also preceded in death by his son, Joey Shane Bryant, brothers James Victor "Vicky" Bryant and Harold "Hoss" Long, sister-in-law, Mary Ann Holmes and husband, Billy Ray. Mr. Bryant leaves behind his wife of 48 years, Donna Bryant, son, Blake Bryant and wife, Tonya of Camden, brother, Jerry Bryant and wife, Tina of Hampton, brother, Eddy "Frog" Bryant and wife, Judy of Camden, sister, Carla Berger and husband, Kenny of Lead Hill, sister, Susan Breazeale of Hampton, sister-in-law, Cindy Long of Hampton, granddaughter, Misty Bohannan and husband, Adam of McNeil, granddaughter, Mindy Bixler and husband, Brent of Little Rock , grandson, Cory Bryant of Camden, granddaughter, Lindsey Bryant of Camden, grandson, Ashton Bryant of Hot Springs, great grandsons, Blake and Max Bohannan of McNeil and great granddaughter, Brylee Ranae of Camden. He has several nieces and nephews, brother-in-law, Rosco Vaughan. R. J. also had two special friends, Charles Callicott and Phil Jackson. He was a great papaw, he loved his family and friends dearly. He was a member of Pleasant Ridge Assembly of God Church. He loved gathering with his family and friends to eat, hunt and fish. He loved being at his shop working on trucks with his sons and his friends. He also loved driving his log truck. R. J. will be missed very much by all of us. The family will receive friends at Proctor's Monday from 6 until 8 p.m. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, April 19, 2011, 2 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Rev. Jay Yarbrough officiating.
