William Donald Clements

William Donald Clements, 72, of Canton, Ga., formerly of Magness, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday April 11, 2011. Don was born Sept. 25, 1938 in Malvern, Ark., to George and Janet Clements. He was a member of Pleasant Valley Missionary Baptist Church. Don was retired from Entergy and was a member of Newark Masonic Lodge #248. He enjoyed rabbit hunting, sitting around the campfire and fishing, but most enjoyed being Papa to his grandchildren. Don is survived by his wife, Patsy Clements of Canton, three daughters, Lisa St. John of Rosie, Miriam Clements of Magnet Cove and Kari Perry of Glen Rose and a son Richard Clements of Chesapeake, Va. He is also survived by three step-children, Christiana Barrett of Canton, Patrick DeGroff of Conyers, Ga., and Angela James of Anderson, Ind. Don is survived by 13 grandchildren and nine step-grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Daphene Wallace of Malvern, Anne Lane of DeQueen and a brother, Gene Clements of Malvern and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant daughter, an infant brother, an infant grandson, Will Clements and an infant granddaughter, Molly Clements. Graveside services were held on Friday April 15, at 4 p.m. in Roswell, Ga. A memorial service will be held on Monday April 18, at 2 p.m. at Butterfield Missionary Baptist Church in Malvern, Ark.
