Arthur C. "Art" Carmical passed away peacefully on the evening of April 20th, 2011 at the age of 80. Art proudly served our country in the United States Air Force for 26 years. After retiring from the Air Force he was employed at the United States Postal Service where he retired after 25 years of employment. During his retirement, Art took up golf and became passionate about the game. Within a 10 year span he made 4 hole in ones – an amazing feat. He spent the last 4 years working as a Golf Marshall at a local course. Art is survived by his wife of 58 years, Faye Carmical, son, Denny Carmical and daughters, Tonya Whitmire & Sara Carmical, son, Rick Carmical and children Tara & Andrew Carmical, daughter, Donna Carmical Barnett, husband David and daughters, Merissa Stover & Chanda Mooneyham, son, Steve Carmical, wife Sharon and children, Justin & Emily Carmical, sister, Edna Brockington and eight beautiful great-grandchildren. Art was preceded in death by his father Jack Carmical, mother, Cleoria Carmical, sister, Christine Carmical, and daughter-in-law, Vicki Carmical. Art is remembered as a loving husband, father, neighbor and friend whose quick wit, sense of humor and kind smile will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Visitation will be held at Huson Funeral Home in Sherwood, Ark. on Sunday April 24th from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Hilltop Baptist Church in Cabot, Ark. on Monday April 25th at 9 a.m. followed by graveside services at Arkansas State Veteran's Cemetery (1501 West Maryland in North Little Rock, Ark.) at 11 a.m. www.husonfuneralhome.com.
