Ettajane Jordan Newman

Ettajane Jordan Newman died Tuesday, April 19, 2011. She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana to Julia Maxwell Jordan and Everett Jordan. She graduated from Butler University in 1942. She was married to Justin P Newman, of Artesia, New Mexico for over 50 years. Jane was a member of Westark Church of Christ in Ft. Smith, Ark. and more recently of Pleasant Valley Church of Christ in Little Rock. Jane was a unique and talented lady. She was taught to play the violin as a child by her father and performed with the Ft. Smith Symphony Orchestra. She loved water color painting and sewing. Jane worked as realtor and landman in business with her husband before his death. She is survived by several nieces and nephews, cousins, and many friends. The family wishes to thank the staffs of Pleasant Hills, Chenal Nursing and Rehab and Hospice Homecare for their tender care of Jane. A special thanks to Dawn Phillips for her friendship and care of Jane over the last few years. A private family graveside service is planned in Pinon, New Mexico.
