George E. Vail, Jr.

George E. Vail Jr., age 74, of Hazen was born Novemeber 6, 1936 in Hazen to George E. Vail, Sr. and Mary Goacher Vail. George went to be with the Lord on April 21, 2011. Mr. George was the voice of agriculture in the Grand Prairie area during his 10 years with Riceland Foods and 36 years with Terra Fertilizer and Chemical. He loved to fish, hunt, and take care of his yard. George was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Hazen. George is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Lucille; two sons, Terry Joe and wife, Carol of Tollville and Tim and wife, Tracie of Hazen; daughters, Tina Bokker of Hazen and Tanya and husband, Donny Underwood of Marion; grandchildren, Jeremy and Jacob Bokker of Hazen and Jeffery Bokker of Damascus, Blake and Cameron Vail of Hazen, Mari and Hanna Underwood of Marion, and Kim and Jamie Vail of Tollville; great-grandchildren, Madelyn, Maci, Matthew, Bradley, and Caroline Bokker all of Hazen; brother, Edward Vail of Stuttgart; sisters, Francis Ewing of Stuttgart and Leta Perry of Hazen and a sister-in-law, Margie Vail of Stuttgart. George was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Gene Vail of Stuttgart. Visitation was Friday, April 22, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. at Westbrook Funeral Home in Hazen. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Saturday, April 23, 2011 at Calvary Baptist Church in Hazen by Bro. James F. Holmes, Bro. Richard Hamlin, and Bro. Christian VanHouten. Burial will be in the Center Point Cemetery. Pallbearers are Jeremy, Jacob, and Jeffery Bokker, Blake and Cameron Vail and Reid Clifton.
