Nancye Anne Ortmeyer Gates

GATES, Nancye Anne Ortmeyer, age 81, of Little Rock, passed away April 21, 2011. Preceded in death by husband, John D. Gates Sr. and grandson, Andrew Ryan Joyce. Survived by son, John D. Gates Jr. (Martha) of Hewitt, Texas and daughter, Susan Gates Joyce (Alan) of Goodlettsville, Tenn., four loving grandchildren, Greg Joyce, Beth Gates, Kelli Gates, Jack Gates and her faithful cat, Lucy, whom she also adored. She truly enjoyed her retirement years, was an avid fiction reader and animal lover, especially cats. Visitation at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth, Monday 2-8 p.m. Services Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Pinecrest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Trinity UMC.
