Afton Clayton "Toke" Charton, age 83 of Morrilton, a lifelong resident of the Overcup Community died Sunday, April 24, 2011. He was born September 20, 1927 the seventh child of Harry and Lena Henley Charton. He was a retired Dairy Farmer and was of the Methodist faith. He was also a charter member of Westfork Hunting Club and a longtime member of Conway County Cattlemens Association. Survivors include his wife of almost 60 years, Reba Marie Robinson Charton; one daughter, Rhonda Finton of the Overcup Community, and a daughter-in-law, Mary Charton of Bryant; six grandchildren, Tristan Charton, U.S. Air Force, of Wasilla, Alaska; Amanda Charton and Eric Hudnall of Bryant; Shannon Finton of Oppelo; Tracy Finton of Russellville; Jeff (Faith) Hudnall of Russellville, and two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Howard Charton of Searcy; James (Sharon) Charton of Plumerville; Thomas (Martha) Charton of Morrilton; five sisters, Wilma Burroughs of the Overcup Community; Pauline McCoy of Winfield, Kansas; Christine Williams of Morrilton; Dorothy (Lloyd) Dunlap of Tennessee, and Katherine (James) Elliott of Little Rock. He was preceded in death by his son, Terry Lynn Charton of Bryant. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 27, at Harris Chapel with Don Stracner officiating. Burial will be at Camp Ground Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, April 26, at the funeral home.
