Dorothy Conroy Hemphill

Dorothy Conroy Hemphill was born in Gahanna, Ohio on May 15, 1923. She left us to be with the Lord on April 23, 2011 at the age of 87. Dorothy was a devoted wife, and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a devout Catholic, a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in North Little Rock. Dorothy was a dedicated volunteer for over 25 years with the Baptist Health Medical Center in NLR. She gave comfort and reassurance to so many families in their hour of need. Dorothy was an active member of the Red Hat Club in which she was honored as the "Queen" and will be missed by all in that wonderful group. Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband Royden (Bud) Hemphill, her sister Kathleen Kroninger, her brothers Edward and Robert Conroy, and grandson Bryan Hemphill. She is survived by her children, Donna Winter and her husband David, Mary Lou Ferguson, Thomas Hemphill and his wife Rosemary, and Michael Hemphill and his wife Dinda. She was dearly loved by her grandchildren, Sean, Patrick and Jeffrey Johnson, Zachary Hemphill, Katie Silva, Leslie Nava, Mason Hemphill and Nicholas Winter, as well as 12 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m., Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at Huson Funeral Home in Sherwood, Ark. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at Huson Funeral Home Chapel followed by burial at Arkansas National Cemetery.
