Joe E. Boyd

Joe E. Boyd age 82 of Arkadelphia died Monday, April 25, 2011 in Arkadelphia. He retired as a manager from International Paper Co. after 35 years and was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict. Joe was a member of First United Methodist Church, enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and camping. He was very active in the community serving on the hospital board at Baptist Medical Center, an active member of the Arkadelphia Lions Club and a member of the Society of American Foresters. Survivors include his wife of fifty-six years, Ruth M. Boyd, one son, Rick Boyd and wife, Brenda of Mt. Home, Arkansas, two daughters, Vici V. Fenwick and husband, Mike of Mena, Arkansas, Candi C. Boyd of Largo, Florida, three grandchildren, Kasey Boyd, Sarah Bentley and husband, Craig, Justin Fenwick and one great-grandchild, Riley Bentley. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, April 27th at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home. There will be no formal service. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church of Arkadelphia.
