Marie Montgomery

Marie Montgomery, 95, of Gurdon, Arkansas passed away Friday August 18, 2011. She was born June 2, 1916 to Ed and Fannie (Reynolds) Merkel in Clark County, Arkansas. Mrs. Montgomery, was the bookkeeper for Thomerson Drug Store and a member of Red Springs Baptist Church in Gurdon, Arkansas. Marie is preceded in death by her mother and father, husband, Jewel, one brother, Lawrence Merkel and several cousins. Marie, is survived by one, niece Rebecca Cowling of Arkadelphia, Ark., several great-nieces and nephews and friends. Visitation will be Sunday August 21, 2011 Noon till 1:30 p.m. In the Chapel of Pharr Funeral Home of Gurdon. Graveside Service will follow in Decipher Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. with Bro.
