Billye Jean Ervin

Billye Jean Ervin, 80, of Newport departed this life Monday, December 5, 2011. Her nursing career started in 1961 with Dr. Haymond Harris and continued with Dr. Dunlap, Dr. Lopez and Newport Healthcare where she helped set up the Alzheimer Unit. She leaves behind, three sons, David Ervin of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, Joey Taylor of Newport, and Gary Taylor and wife Suzi of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; one daughter, Lisa Taylor of Newport; one daughter-in-law, Ann Taylor of Little Rock; brother-in-laws and sisters-in-law, Bob and Barbara Glasco of Fayetteville, John and Mozelle Hannah of Bryant; four grandchildren, Steve Taylor, Kevin Taylor, Gary L. Taylor, and Jamie McNeil; nine great-grandchildren; and many friends. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Friday, at Dillinger Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in Sandhill Cemetery.
