Mark Ashley Crossley, age 53, of Montrose, Colo., passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, Dec. 4, 2011. Mark was born April 8, 1958 to Lloyd Hughes and Peggy (Rawls) Crossley in Fayetteville, Ark. He spent his childhood in Wilmot, Ark., and graduated from high school in Hamburg, Ark. Mark went onto college at the University of Arkansas at Monticello, and then he received his Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Arkansas Medical School in Little Rock, Ark. Then he received his law degree from the William H. Bowen School of Law in Little Rock, Ark. Mark married his wife, Patricia on Sept. 3, 1988. Mark and Patricia were blessed with two daughters, Ellen and Brenna Crossley. Mark and his family moved to Colorado thirteen years ago, making their home until Mark's time of death. Mark and wife, Patricia, owned and operated Crossley Patent Law Firm established in 2001 in Montrose. Mark was the Past Master of Montrose Lodge #63, A.F.&A.M. He was Past Commander of the Montrose-Ouray Commandery #16. Mark also served as Past Venerable Master of the Knights of St. Andrew, Valley of Grand Junction. He was a member of York and Scottish Rites as well as a member of the York Rite Sovereign College and the Allied Masonic Degrees. Mark was also president of the Black Canyon Golf Club. Mark loved the game of golf, MG restoration, Harley motorcycles, and Disney World. He was a Connoisseur of Coffee, and operated the Colorado Buffalo Salt Company. Mark enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all of them. Surviving family members include his beloved wife, Patricia Kay Crossley of the family home in Montrose; parents, Lloyd H. and Peggy R. Crossley of Hot Springs, Ark.; daughters, Ellen Ashley and Brenna Elizabeth Crossley of Montrose; brother, James William Crossley of Navarre, Fla.; niece Alexa Marie Crossley of Navarre, Fla.; sister, Pamela Crossley Arnold of Hot Springs, Ark.; nephew, Jackson Gordon Arnold of Hot Springs, Ark. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, Dec. 9, 2011 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Crippin Funeral Home Chapel. A Masonic Service is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 10, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the Montrose Masonic Lodge on Rose Lane, followed by a reception at the Lodge. Interment will follow the reception on Saturday, Dec. 10 at 3 p.m. at Lone Tree Cemetery, in Telluride, Colo. Memorial contributions may be made to the Masonic Lodge #63, A.F.&A.M., in memory of Mark Crossley, 187 Rose Lane, Montrose, Colo. 81401. Arrangements are under the direction of Crippin Funeral Home and Crematory, Montrose, Colo.
