Gary Foughty, 72, of Bryant passed away on December 13, 2011 with his family by his side. Gary was born on December 27, 1938 to the late, J.D. and Gladys Foughty in Cleveland, Mississippi. He was a member of 1st Southern Baptist Church of Bryant and also a member of the Masons. Gary loved to golf, he was very proud of the two holes in one that he had gotten while he was battling Pulmonary Fibrosis. He enjoyed bowling and was on the Saline Strikers Bowling League. Mr. Foughty served in the United States Army from 1962-1968. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Carol Barnard Foughty; two sons, Jason Foughty (Jennifer) of Alma, Ark. and Jon Foughty (Lauren); one daughter, Keri Tyler (Scott); four grandchildren, Joseph Foughty of Alma and Bailie Foughty and Jayden and Keegan Tyler of Bryant; one sister, Delores Doherty of Mableton, Georgia and a host of nieces, nephews and friends who all loved him and will miss him dearly. A celebration of Gary's life will be held on Friday, December 16, 2011 at 1 p.m. at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home conducting the service is Rev. Chuck Barnard of Texas. Visitation will be Thursday, December 15, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Gary's nephews will be serving as pallbearers.
