Johnnie (Williams) Knox of Lonoke passed away December 27, 2011 after a long battle with congestive heart failure. She was a retired school teacher. She graduated from Cabot High School and received a BS degree in education from UCA. She taught at Jacksonville Northside, Cabot, Batesville, Ozark and finally Lonoke. She is a member of United Methodist Church, Lonoke Book Club, and Lonoke bridge club and also a lover of playing golf. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Charles E. Knox of Lonoke, daughter Kristi McGee and husband Terry of Batesville Southside, brother Bill Williams and wife Louise of Heber Springs, three grandchildren Brittney (Josh) Wilder, T.J. McGee and Leslie McGee, two great-granddaughters Taysia and Aaliyah, nephew Samuel Darrel Williams (Tamera), niece Carmen Patrom, brother-in-law Richard (Maryann) Knox, sister-in-law Debbie (Jimmy) Sanders and a loving aunt who is like a sister, Doris (Gene) Robbins. She was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Nell Williams and sister Sue Williams all of Lonoke. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Boyd Funeral Home. A service will be held at First United Methodist Church in Lonoke 10 a.m. Thursday, December 29, 2011. Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Cabot.
