Robert Eugene Lendermon, of Austin, Arkansas, born at Hickory Plains, Arkansas, on April 20, 1941 was received into the arms of his Savior on Feburary 2, 2011. He was preceded in death by his parents, Buford and Hazel Tippitt Lendermon, and one sister, Sharon Lendermon Tallant. He was an owner-operator in the trucking business for over 30 years where he logged more than a million miles. Prior to that, Mr. Lendermon was a Sargeant in the Arkansas National Guard for eight years. Bob loved his association with his pastor and church family of the Country Chapel near Cabot, Ark. He was an avid NASCAR fan, loved John Wayne Westerns, and John Deere tractors. Mr. Lendermon is survived by his devoted wife of 46 years, Laura Allred Lendermon; two daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah and Randy Biggs of Little Rock, and Amy and Jesse Rolfes of Kirkwood, Missouri. He is also survived by his faithful pal, Jake. Also surviving are three sisters, Rebecca (Warren) Harvey of Plano, Texas; Mary Huddleston of Des Arc, Ark.; Doris (Brent) Chaffin of Brinkley, Ark.; and his much-loved nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral will be 2 p.m., Saturday, February 5, 2011, at The Country Chapel in the Sylvania Community, officiated by Rev. Steve Zumalt and Rev. Jerry Nipper.
