JEREMY NEAL OWENS, 31 of North Little Rock, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 3, 2011. Jeremy was born at Memorial Hospital in North Little Rock, Ark. He was the first child born by the Lamaze Natural Child Birth method in North Little Rock. Jeremy's birth set the tone for the rest of his life. He was a true fighter that lived life on his own terms. As a child Jeremy was very active in sports. He was a 3rd degree red belt in Taekwondo-Do, an active indoor and outdoor soccer player and played Little League baseball. Later Jeremy focused his passion on weight lifting where he was commonly one of the strongest weight lifters in the gym, bench pressing over 400 pounds. Most of all Jeremy was a sweet, loving and caring person. He never met anyone he didn't like and he would always go out of his way to help a friend. He was the kind of guy that would give you everything he had if he thought it would help you. Jeremy had voracious appetite for living life. His carefree spirit and attitude was an inspiration to all that came in contact with him. He also had an insatiable passion for food. Jeremy always looked forward to the times he would spend with his family when they shared a special meal together. There was always plenty of food, laughter and love when everyone gathered and above it all, Jeremy's hearty laugh. Like all of us, Jeremy sometimes struggled with adversity. But he never gave up hope and tried to council others on how to avoid the mistakes he felt he had made in his own life. We will all miss Jeremy but we must celebrate his life by being the best version of ourselves as possible. That is what he would have wanted.
