Virgil L. Duke, 78, of Judsonia, surrounded by family, went peacefully to be with the Lord Thursday, February 3, 2011. Virgil was retired from ownership of Duke Auto Sales in Pine Bluff and Little Rock of 30+ years. He was an avid dancer and attended local events on a regular basis. He was born June 19, 1932, in Evening Shade as the youngest to his late parents, Henry and Parlee Duke. He is also preceded in death by five brothers and five sisters. He is survived by his son Troy L. Duke and wife Michelle of Bryant, grandson, Corey M. Duke of Siloam Springs, brother-in-law, Orville Nichols of Searcy, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Virgil is greatly loved and will be missed by his family and friends. The memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, February 12, at Powell Funeral Home, 2602 W. Beebe-Capps Expressway in Searcy with Brother James Wiley officiating. Donations to the American Cancer Society can be made in lieu of flowers.
