Dorothy Nowlin

Dorothy Harper Blasingame Nowlin, 77, of Pottsville, died Saturday, February 5th, 2011 at her home. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church near Star City. She is survived by her son Clifton Blasingame of Pottsville; her siblings Martin Harper of Redfield, Lavon Harper of Houston, Robert Harper, Vernice McGee, and Louise Bailey of Star City. She was preceded in death by her parents, Felix and Ophelia Harper; siblings Harold Harper and Mary Murphy; and sons Mike Blasingame, Glen Blasingame and Gary Blasingame. "Mammaw Dot" had 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Friends and relatives are invited to attend services on Friday, February 11th at Griffin Funeral Service in Star City. Reception begins at 1:30 p.m. The funeral will follow at 3 pm. Burial will be at Hickory Grove Cemetery. Arrangements by Griffin Funeral Service in Star City.
