Joseph J. Cook, 87 of Fayetteville, formerly of Fort Smith passed away Sunday, February 13, 2011 in Fayetteville. He was a member of Washburn Church of Christ, a Navy Veteran of World War II and a member of the National Association of Fleet Tug Sailors. The family will receive guests 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at 9813 Turtle Bay Drive in Fort Smith, Ark. Private Family Graveside services will be held at the Duncan Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Fentress Mortuary of Fort Smith. He is survived by his wife Nona of Fayetteville, two daughters, Phyllis Bridges and her husband Randy of Fort Smith; and Judy Shackelford and her husband Ray of Crosses, Ark; two grandchildren, Tanya Stowers and her husband Anthony and Eve Stockton and her husband Eugene. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren: Michael Cobler, Liz Crowley, Kelsey, Angelina, and Hunter Stockton, and Trinity Stowers.
