Dorothy M. Hess

Dorothy M. Hess, 79 of Conway, died February 15, 2011. She was born August 31, 1931 in Conway to the late Frank and Ida Moll. Dorothy is survived by her husband of 57 years, Ray T. Hess. She was a loving mother to Tom (Jackie) Hess of Seattle, Wash., Alicia (Don) Ludolph of Huntington Beach, Calif., Tim (Vicky) Hess of Conway, and Mary Hess of Conway. Dorothy was a caring "Granny" to 13 grandchildren: Raymond Hess, Emily Hess, Christopher Ludolph, Ann Ludolph, John Ludolph, Leslie (Jason) Grummer, Lorie Hess, Jessica Hess, Tiffany (Stuart) Parnell, Jennifer (Tim) McMahan, Lindsay Fort, Tyler Jones, and Trever Jones, and 11 great-grandchildren. Dorothy was one of nine children: Frank Moll, Robert Moll (deceased), Louise Gillespie, Albertine Enderlin (deceased), Ida Moix (deceased), Emil Moll (deceased), Joseph Moll, and Jim Moll (deceased). She married into a family of 13: Clara Hylle, Margaret Boeckmann, Albert Hess, Gilbert Hell, Paul Hess, Rose Long (deceased), Betty Buergler, Dorothy Dettlinger, Billy Hess, Bobby Hess, Agnes Sorce (deceased) and Ruth Wilson. Dorothy was a wonderful homemaker, seamstress, and caretaker of her husband, children, and grandchildren. A special thanks to Hospice Home Care, Carol Barnes, Robin Lambert, Freda Prince, Sarah Price, Gayle Hay, Mallory Belew, John and Marilyn Zeiler, Joe Baldwin, and Bennie Long. Rosary will be 6 p.m., Thursday, February 17, 2011 at Griffin Leggett Funeral Home in Conway, with visitation to follow. Funeral service will be 11:30 a.m., Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Conway. Entombment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
